Privacy Policy

healhiveapp.com and the HealHive app.

Last updated: 17 June 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how HealHive Ltd (“HealHive”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information across two places: this website (healhiveapp.com) and the HealHive mobile app. We have built both to collect as little as possible. This policy sets out plainly what each one does.

In short: the website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The app keeps the recovery information you enter on your own device and never receives it. Detail on each follows.

2. The website (healhiveapp.com)

The website is a marketing and information site. When you visit it, we use Framer's built-in analytics to understand visits in aggregate.

What the website analytics does
  • Counts unique visitors, page views, top sources and top pages, in aggregate.

  • Works without cookies. It does not place cookies on your device and does not create any persistent identifier for you.

  • Is anonymous. It does not track, collect or store anything that identifies you as an individual, and the data cannot be traced back to a real person.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, behavioural-targeting cookies, or cross-site tracking on the website. Because the website sets no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required.

Forms and contact

If you email us using an address shown on the site, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply. The website does not currently have a newsletter sign-up or data-collection form. If we add one in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent at the point of sign-up.

3. The HealHive app

The app is local-first. The recovery information you enter stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Stays on your device

Surgery or injury details, daily pain, mood and progress logs, personal notes, journal entries and milestone tracking are stored only on your device. We never receive this information, cannot see it, and cannot recover it if your device is lost or reset. There are no accounts and no login.

Content the app downloads

To provide guided meditations, breathing exercises and articles, the app downloads that content over the internet from our content delivery provider (Cloudflare). This is a one-way download of content to your device and does not send your recovery information anywhere.

Anonymous analytics in the app

The app uses PostHog to understand, anonymously, how the app is used. It records which screens you open, which features you use, and whether you complete onboarding. It never records your mood notes, journal entries, surgery details, name, or precise location. Each installation has a random identifier not linked to you and not linked across devices. You can turn app analytics off at any time in Settings, Anonymous Analytics.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We do not share the recovery data you enter in the app, because we never receive it. The external services involved are: Framer, which hosts the website and provides its cookieless analytics; Cloudflare, which delivers the app's audio, video and article content; and PostHog, which receives the app's anonymous, non-identifying usage events while app analytics are enabled. If you join the optional HealHive community on Discord, that is a separate third-party service operated by Discord Inc., governed by Discord's own terms and privacy policy.

5. Your rights

Because we hold no account and do not receive your recovery data, there is no profile with us to access, export or delete. You control the information on your device and can delete all app data at any time in the app's settings. For website analytics, the data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you. If you have questions about your rights under applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR, contact us using the details below.

6. Children's privacy

HealHive is designed for adults recovering from surgery or injury. If you are under 18, please use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not collect personal data through the app, and the website analytics contains nothing that identifies any visitor of any age.

7. Changes to this policy

If the website or app changes in a way that affects this policy, for example adding a sign-up form, accounts, or a new analytics service, we will update this policy and publish the new version here.
